Challenge

The Problem

Atlas was a rapidly growing DTC brand that had outgrown Shopify's standard architecture. Their monolithic setup couldn't handle flash sale traffic, international expansion was cumbersome, and performance degraded significantly during marketing campaigns. They needed an architecture that could scale 1000x without a proportional cost increase.

Solution

What We Did

We implemented a headless commerce architecture with Shopify's Storefront API as the backend and Next.js as the frontend. Product data was cached at the edge via a CDN. Checkout was optimized with a custom flow that reduced steps while maintaining PCI compliance. International storefronts were deployed with localized content, pricing, and payment methods.
